they arent on the artist list for merlefest and no shows are mentioned on the band's myspace page so probably not. but rc's drummer logan randomly plays with thad (he played on thad's duet record with caitlin cary called begonias) and so if they arent playing eslewhere there would be a good chance he'll play those shows...

whether roman candle plays with them or not, thad and caitlin would be an awesome show. hopefully i can make it up that way to see some songs off begonias.

Avett brothers were pretty good but most folks said they liked them better on the record...they broke a lot of strings and tuned during songs and such...Thad and Caitlen were awesome...i sat like right on the right of the Watson stage as they performed and he had a crazy good lap steel player...and Logan was playin a pretty sweet Tele and Skip and Timshel were like right across from me backstage...i had been getting autographs all weekend and i was considering gettin the roman candle autographs, but didnt know how they woudl react....Nickel Creek was awesome and i never really realized how awesome Chris Thile was at the mandolin, he is like a prodigy or something...Bob Weir from grateful dead was there and he was great...Nickel creek did their cover of brittany spears' toxic..which Thile sang, pretty funny but also good musicianship...Thile and some others also did a awesome cover of The Beatles' Helter Skelter bluegrass style at the midnight jam...i enjoyed that...pretty awsome merlefest all an all
